Content and Structure
The prayers and blessings are in Hebrew, transliterated and additionally translated into German. Thus, there are three ways to read the prayers. The booklet starts like other Siddur books (prayer orders for various Jewish occasions) from the right and you turn pages to the left. Ready for the holiday?
This booklet does not contain all Hebrew prayers that exist for this holiday. A Machsor (prayer book with a complete collection of prayers) can have hundreds of pages. This guide is meant to provide an introduction and help to recite the basic prayers and blessings. The main activities are briefly explained, so you can quickly get started and celebrate the holiday without much preparation. You can simply open the booklet and read it. The explanations can also be read aloud to all attendees.
